Continuous Improvements

Teleflex strives to continuously improve the quality, reliability, and cost of all its procured products and services. Teleflex works closely with our strategic suppliers to develop continuous improvement projects that will bring value to our organization. Projects may range in scope from:

  • Value engineering
  • Improved Quality
  • Improve supply chain metrics (on time delivery, lead time, etc.)
  • Cost Reductions
  • Productivity improvements
  • New products or existing product enhancements
  • Lean Six Sigma and Six Sigma projects
  • Package design and development

Key Roles and Responsibilities within Teleflex Sourcing Organization:

  • Global Sourcing Manager - The Global Sourcing Manager is responsible for the business relationship with the Supplier, including, but not limited to, issues such as contract, quality, delivery, or health of the business. They can be the primary integration point linking suppliers & technology with new product development or cost improvement projects.
  • Buyer - The buyer is the primary contact for all purchasing-related issues. The Supplier must inform the buyer of any issue that impacts delivery, quality or to request any changes.
  • Supplier Quality - The supplier quality function is responsible for the quality system conformance, reliability and manufacturability of products, finished devices or services. They are responsible for supplier audits.
