Arrow® VPS Rhythm® DLX Device with TipTracker™ Technology

Efficient, predictable, and precise PICC placement

Our next-generation VPS Rhythm® DLX Device features an optional ultrasound. This device works in concert with the Arrow® PICC preloaded with the NaviCurve™ Stylet, providing innovative tip navigation/location technologies. These tools work together to give Vascular Access Specialists more efficient and predictable PICC placement while continuing to maximize patient safety with Arrowg+ard Blue Advance® antimicrobial and antithrombogenic technology.1,2

The VPS Rhythm® DLX Device with TipTracker™ Technology eliminates the need for a confirmatory x-ray, helping the clinician seamlessly move from ultrasound vessel assessment through PICC navigation to final tip confirmation in the lower third of the superior vena cava.3

Arrow® VPS Rhythm® DLX Device with TipTracker™ Technology includes:

  • Vascular access ultrasound that is easy to use, intuitive to navigate, and includes a catheter-to-vessel ratio tool
  • Electromagnetic navigation that facilitates visualization of the PICC tip as it advances through the vasculature to help avoid tip malposition
  • ECG tip location technology indicated as an alternative to confirmatory chest x-ray in adult patients

Arrow® PICCs preloaded with NaviCurve™ Stylet are designed to:

  • Make it easier to advance the PICC into the superior vena cava on the first attempt without the need to reposition the catheter1
  • Reduce the risk of PICC looping and save procedural time1,3
  • Give vascular access specialists the precise technology they need to insert PICCs efficiently and consistently3

  • No calibration means no frustrating interruptions during the procedure
  • VPS Rhythm® DLX Device and Arrow® PICC Kits interact efficiently to help optimize your workflow from vessel assessment through final dressing1,3
  • Enhanced procedural order kit layout and components to streamline the PICC insertion procedure1,3

Product Features

NaviCurve™ Stylet

Pushable Body
Provides stiffness to enhance advancement of the PICC
Short Flexible Section
Designed to reduce the risk of catheter looping
Anatomical Curve
Allows stylet to self-orient to the human anatomy and direct the PICC toward the SVC
Navigation coils
Provide electromagnetic tip tracking in real-time for easy visualization3
Angled Tip
Designed to direct the catheter tip toward the SVC

Due to the variability of patient vasculature, all PICCs from time to time have difficulty advancing into the SVC on the first attempt. That's why we designed the Arrow® NaviCurve™ Stylet with an anatomical curve that self-orients to patient anatomy for optimal dropability and easier first-pass PICC advancement into the superior vena cava.1,3

In a benchtop study mirroring difficult vasculature, the Arrow® PICC preloaded with NaviCurve™ Stylet reached the SVC on the first attempt 90% of the time during catheter advancement while the BD PICC preloaded with Sherlock Stylet reached the SVC 0% of the time during first attempt catheter advancement.1
