The PiggyBack Wire Converter is a 0.035” outer diameter wire converter that can be delivered over and locked onto a 0.014” guidewire to allow subsequent delivery of 0.035” compatible catheters, sheaths and devices.

  • 0.035” O.D. for delivery of standard 0.035” devices
  • 0.014” I.D. for delivery over standard 0.014” guidewires
  • Hydrophilic coating on distal 18cm for smooth delivery
  • Embedded radiopaque marker band for visualisation under fluoroscopy

0.014” Inside, 0.035” Outside

The PiggyBack Wire Converter is useful for peripheral procedures requiring a 0.014” guidewire for easier access and a 0.035” guidewire for more support. The PiggyBack Wire Converter is designed to convert a 0.014” guidewire to a 0.035” platform without losing vessel placement or exchanging guidewires.


How Does It Work?

The PiggyBack Wire Converter can be delivered over a 0.014” guidewire in situ or preloaded onto a 0.014” guidewire before it is placed intravascular.

Do not advance the PiggyBack Wire Converter without a guidewire in place. Advancement of the PiggyBack Wire Converter without a guidewire in place may result in intimal damage, arterial dissection or perforation.
