Knowing how important career progression has been throughout her time at Teleflex, Marling wants others to understand the opportunities that are available to them.

“This is a company where people can truly move forward,” she said. “It may take a little time and may not follow a predictable path, but the opportunities are definitely there.”

Marling, who came to Teleflex as a temp three years ago and now works in QA, has transitioned through many positions along the way to get to where she is today.

“I worked in the warehouse, and when a spot was available I was hired on as a kit room packager three months later,” said Marling. “Soon after I was hired to be chemical solution operator for the mixing lab, and now I do QA. This by far has to be my favorite job.”

In addition to opportunities in career progression, Marling has taken advantage of the possibility of advancing her schooling along the way.

“I feel I have had opportunities that many would wait years for,” said Marling. “I am attending High Point University, and this will be my last year in school. I’ve been given opportunities to progress professionally and in my studies.”

Throughout her experiences in different departments of the company, Marling said she has gotten insight into where she could possibly advance to as an employee, and these future opportunities keep her striving to succeed.

“This job has been great for me and I don’t see myself wanting to go anywhere else,” said Marling.
